Offeryn pres mawr a chanddo falfiau a thyllfedd gonigol yw'r tiwba.[1] Y tiwba yw'r offeryn cerdd mwyaf a'r traw isaf yn neulu offerynnau pres. Ymddangosodd gyntaf yng nghanol y 19g, gan ddisodli'r ophicleide i raddau helaeth. Mae'r enw'n deillio o'r gair Lladin tuba = "trwmped".
