She also is one of Australia's leading public commentators on population and demographic issues and she also closely works with the Australian government and she is currently a principal investigator on 5 major projects, including:[1]
Davies began her position at UWA in 2020, prior to which she was Senior Lecturer in the Department of Planning and Geography at Curtin University.[3] She is also the youngest person to be appointed as a full professor of Geography at UWA and the first female to be appointed as the head of the School of Social Sciences.[1]
Davies has a Bachelors of Science from UWA, a Doctor of Philosophy from New England.[1]
