At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 3,178 in 739 households.[6] There were 2,886 inhabitants in 849 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 2,050 in 687 households. The most populous of its 34 villages was Jebreil, with 336 people.[2]
