At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,336 in 273 households, when it was in the former Salehabad District of Torbat-e Jam County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,679 people in 402 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,740 people in 440 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
In 2017, Salehabad District was separated from Torbat-e Jam County in the establishment of Salehabad County, which was divided into two districts and five rural districts, with the city of Salehabad as its capital.[6]
