Denton is a city in Jeff Davis County , Georgia , United States. The population was 189 in 2020.
History
The Georgia General Assembly incorporated the place in 1911 as the "Town of Denton".[ 4] The community most likely was named after Samuel Denton, an early settler.[ 5]
Geography
Denton is located at 31°43′22″N 82°41′47″W / 31.72278°N 82.69639°W / 31.72278; -82.69639 (31.722663, -82.696323).[ 6]
According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 1.5 square miles (3.9 km2 ), all land.
