At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population (as Kalleh Bast) was 3,543 in 965 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 4,097 people in 1,264 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 7,889 people in 2,549 households,[2] by which time the city's name had been changed from Kalleh Bast to Hadishahr.[7]
