Hyde Park Angels (HPA) is an American venture capital firm founded in 2007 and based in Chicago, IL. The company focuseses on angel investments in startup companies in Chicago and the American Midwest.[2][3]

The Hyde Park Angels' approach to investing is like a traditional venture capital firm.[4] In each round a number of companies are vetted and screened by internal Hyde Park Angels subject-matter experts. The selected companies pitch to the HPA with any investment coming from group rather than individuals.

History

Hyde Park Angels was founded in April 2007 by classmates of Chicago Booth XP-76. They were Jeffrey Carter, Ryan Humphreys, Vishal Verma, Rick Schultz, Sharon McDade and Galen Williams.[citation needed]

Peter Wilkins has been the managing director since 2014,[5] with Michael Sachaj as the principal.

Investments

In 2014, Hyde Park Anghels invested in NuCurrent.[6]

Partnerships
