Government policy
In 2021, the federal government announced plans to subsidize 25% of the value of each purchase of a Russian-made electric car, with a maximum subsidy of 625,000 ₽.[4]
Charging stations
As of 2021[update], there were around 400 public charging stations in Russia.[5]
Manufacturing
The first electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Russia, operated by Dongfeng Motor Corporation, opened in September 2022 in Lipetsk Oblast.[6]
