What is the inclusion criteria here? We have a many, many missing, like Murphy Aircraft, Blue Yonder Aviation, Ultraflight Lazair, Bushcaddy, etc. - Ahunt (talk) 18:45, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-19T18:45:00.000Z","author":"Ahunt","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Ahunt-2019-11-19T18:45:00.000Z-Inclusion","replies":["c-NiD.29-2019-11-20T04:26:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-19T18:45:00.000Z"]}}-->
I was steering clear of homebuilts as then things get very murky - and I am sure there are probably at least as many possible entries, especially when a few minor changes and someone claims it as their own design. Additional nav boxes might be in order for them. Did any of those companies offer completed aircraft for customers?
Perhaps "Organizations or people responsible for mass production of complete aircraft, and those aircraft that they completed, including prototypes." - NiD.29 (talk) 04:26, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-20T04:26:00.000Z","author":"NiD.29","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-NiD.29-2019-11-20T04:26:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-19T18:45:00.000Z","replies":["c-Ahunt-2019-11-20T04:43:00.000Z-NiD.29-2019-11-20T04:26:00.000Z"],"displayName":"- NiD.29"}}-->
Well that is kind of the issue, Murphy Aircraft, Blue Yonder Aviation and Bushcaddy (along with a number of others) all sold completed, mass-produced aircraft, as well as kits. I was thinking your navbox here is really aimed at certified aircraft. - Ahunt (talk) 04:43, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-20T04:43:00.000Z","author":"Ahunt","type":"comment","level":4,"id":"c-Ahunt-2019-11-20T04:43:00.000Z-NiD.29-2019-11-20T04:26:00.000Z","replies":["c-NiD.29-2019-11-20T06:34:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-20T04:43:00.000Z"]}}-->
No reason why they shouldn't be included - the Murphy Moose seemed close to being certified/mass produced when I saw one a few years ago, but I don't have good information on those that were sold in complete form (excepting sole examples built). Inspiration for this navbox came from a photo at the Montreal Aviation Museum of a selection of aircraft being built in Canada during a wartime royal visit. While I knew each type had been built here, it got me thinking about how the extent of the aviation industry in Canada usually flies under the radar, and a navbox seemed to be the perfect means to tie them together - especially to those with few connections elsewhere. I had noticed other countries (albeit with more limited aviation industries) with similar navboxes, although I didn't expect it to be as large as it is even now - and I realize there are more additions to be made. - NiD.29 (talk) 06:34, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-20T06:34:00.000Z","author":"NiD.29","type":"comment","level":5,"id":"c-NiD.29-2019-11-20T06:34:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-20T04:43:00.000Z","replies":["c-Ahunt-2019-11-20T15:45:00.000Z-NiD.29-2019-11-20T06:34:00.000Z"],"displayName":"- NiD.29"}}-->
Okay, I will add them then and let's see what it looks like then, whether adjustments are needed. - Ahunt (talk) 15:45, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-20T15:45:00.000Z","author":"Ahunt","type":"comment","level":6,"id":"c-Ahunt-2019-11-20T15:45:00.000Z-NiD.29-2019-11-20T06:34:00.000Z","replies":["c-Ahunt-2019-11-21T17:13:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-20T15:45:00.000Z"]}}-->
Done, although I probably missed some. - Ahunt (talk) 17:13, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-21T17:13:00.000Z","author":"Ahunt","type":"comment","level":7,"id":"c-Ahunt-2019-11-21T17:13:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-20T15:45:00.000Z","replies":["c-NiD.29-2019-11-22T05:27:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-21T17:13:00.000Z"]}}-->

I think this box is now to the point where it is too large to be useful and we are still probably missing more entries. Perhaps it should be converted to a category instead? - Ahunt (talk) 13:17, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-25T13:17:00.000Z","author":"Ahunt","type":"comment","level":9,"id":"c-Ahunt-2019-11-25T13:17:00.000Z-NiD.29-2019-11-22T05:27:00.000Z","replies":["c-NiD.29-2019-11-25T19:36:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-25T13:17:00.000Z"]}}-->
Or split between homebuilts and factory-built aircraft? - NiD.29 (talk) 19:36, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-25T19:36:00.000Z","author":"NiD.29","type":"comment","level":10,"id":"c-NiD.29-2019-11-25T19:36:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-25T13:17:00.000Z","replies":["c-Ahunt-2019-11-25T22:26:00.000Z-NiD.29-2019-11-25T19:36:00.000Z"],"displayName":"- NiD.29"}}-->
That would make some sense to do it that way, or more precisely certified/non-certified. - Ahunt (talk) 22:26, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-25T22:26:00.000Z","author":"Ahunt","type":"comment","level":11,"id":"c-Ahunt-2019-11-25T22:26:00.000Z-NiD.29-2019-11-25T19:36:00.000Z","replies":["c-NiD.29-2019-11-26T03:27:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-25T22:26:00.000Z"]}}-->

Looks better. One technicality, the military aircraft are mostly not certified (Avro 504, Arrow, etc) - Ahunt (talk) 03:21, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-11-27T03:21:00.000Z","author":"Ahunt","type":"comment","level":14,"id":"c-Ahunt-2019-11-27T03:21:00.000Z-NiD.29-2019-11-26T22:46:00.000Z","replies":["c-NiD.29-2019-11-27T05:31:00.000Z-Ahunt-2019-11-27T03:21:00.000Z"]}}-->
