For the layout used see WikiProject French départements and its talk page. -- User:Docu

The revised layout is based on that of the latest version of the fr: template. -- Picapica 23:30, 26 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2005-11-26T23:30:00.000Z","author":"Picapica","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Picapica-2005-11-26T23:30:00.000Z","replies":["c-Olivier-2005-11-28T06:31:00.000Z-Picapica-2005-11-26T23:30:00.000Z"]}}-->

The revised template is far too heavy. I am reverting to the previous one. olivier 06:31, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2005-11-28T06:31:00.000Z","author":"Olivier","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Olivier-2005-11-28T06:31:00.000Z-Picapica-2005-11-26T23:30:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

Hmm: I think you forgot to include the words "in my view". The trouble with the old layout, for me, is that it was a fat lot of use as a navigation aid to anyone unfamiliar with the official numbering system for the départements.

I thought fr:Modèle:FranceDep not only neat but much more informative and easily navigable, myself. But since it's Templates Lite you hanker for: how about my revision Mark II? At the very least, I don't think we can dispense with the names of the départements. Numbers alone is just too anorexic, à mon avis. -- Picapica 23:17, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2005-11-29T23:17:00.000Z","author":"Picapica","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Picapica-2005-11-29T23:17:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

European Collectivity of Alsace

I think European Collectivity of Alsace should be added to the 'Special' section. Also, the 'Former' section does not include former departments of Alger, Oran, Constantine, Seine, Seine-et-Oise etc., which also should be added.
