In Gray's career at Michigan, he played three seasons for the Wolverines, appearing in 28 games, totalling 91 tackles with five going for a loss, a sack, 15 pass deflections, and a forced fumble.[4] After the conclusion of the 2021 season, Gray decided to declare for the 2022 NFL Draft.[5]

Los Angeles Rams
One day later on May 16, 2023, Gray was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Rams.[14][15] During final roster cuts, he was waived by the Rams.[16]
Cleveland Browns
On November 7, 2023, Gray signed to the Cleveland Browns practice squad.[17] He was elevated to the active roster and made his NFL debut in the team's Week 18 season finale, posting five tackles and two pass deflections.[18] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 15, 2024.[19]
