هومولوگ ۲ پروتئین کرومباکس (انگلیسی: Chromobox protein homolog 2) یک پروتئین است که در انسان توسط ژن «CBX2» کُدگذاری میشود.[۵][۶][۷]
بر پایهگذارشی در مجلهٔ نیو ساینتیست این ژن، حتی بیشتر از کروموزومهای X و Y بر روی جنسیت انسان تأثیر میگذارد.[۸]
ژن CBX2 با RYBP تعامل پروتئین-پروتئین دارد.[۹] این ژن همچنین با عامل ایجاد بیضه که توسط ژن SRY واقع بر کروموزوم Y ساخته میشود، تعامل دارد و هر دوی این ژنها برای ایجاد جنسیت مذکر ضروری است.
