MLST8
مولکول هدفِ کمپلکس راپامایسین، زیرواحد الاستی۸ (انگلیسی: Target of rapamycin complex subunit LST8) مشهور به «پروتئین ۸ کشنده با اسئیسی۱۳ پستانداران» یک پروتئین است که در انسان توسط ژن «MLST8» کُدگذاری میشود.[۵] این مولکول زیرواحد هر دو کمپلکس پروتئینی «mTORC1» و «mTORC2» است که در تنظیم رشد و بقای سلول در پاسخ به مواد مغذی، انرژی، اکسایش-کاهش و پیامهای هورمونی نقش دارند.[۶] تخریب ژن «MLST8» از تشکیل کمپلکس پروتئینی mTORC جلوگیری کرده و جلوی رشد سرطانی سلولها و حالت تهاجمی تومور را میگیرد.[۷]
