Alha (Arabisch: علها)[1], is een dorp in het noorden van het Jemenitische eiland Socotra, ongeveer 5 kilometer ten zuidoosten van de hoofdplaats Hadiboh.
Moskee van Alha
In het dorp staat de historische moskee van Alha, die in opdracht van Mahra-sultan Hammad Bin Abdullah op traditionele wijze gebouwd werd uit steen en koraal, mortel van kalkaarde en kalkpleister. De moskee bestaat uit een voorhof, gebedsruimte en aangrenzende ruimte voor ritueel wassen. De moskee wordt voor het eerst genoemd in 1830 door luitenant James Raymond Wellsted van de Britse Oost-Indische Compagnie.[2] De moskee raakte zwaar beschadigd door 2 cyclonen in de jaren 2010 en is rond 2020 hersteld.[3]
