Anar
Anar is een naam uit de boeken van J.R.R. Tolkien. Het is de naam in het Quenya voor de zon. In het Sindarijns was de naam Anor. De Noldor noemden haar Vása: hart van vuur.
De zon was een vrucht van de boom Laurelin de guldene, ze werd door de gezangen van de Vala Yavanna tot leven gewekt. Daarna werd ze aan de hemel geplaatst tezamen met Isil (de maan).
