Autographa is een geslacht van nachtvlinders uit de familie Noctuidae.
De wetenschappelijke naam Autographa staat voor "zelf geschreven". Dit verwijst naar de metaalkleurige/witte tekening op de voorvleugels waarin soms Griekse letters (gamma, jota) herkend kunnen worden.[1]
