Autolycus (ook: Autolykos) (Grieks: Αὐτόλυκος) was de grootvader van Odysseus van zijn moeders zijde. Als zoon van de god Hermes en de Chione stond hij onder zijn bescherming en overtrof alle overige mensen in de kunst der diefstal. Odysseus, de "listenrijke", erfde deze doortraptheid.
Hij was de vader van Antikleia en verscheidene zonen, van wie alleen Aesimus genoemd wordt. Autolycus stal het vee van Eurytus en de helm die zijn kleinzoon uiteindelijk droeg tijdens de Trojaanse Oorlog. Hij was ook een van de Argonauten en onderdaan van Sisyphos.
