Branches is een Franse gemeente in het departement Yonne in de regio Bourgogne-Franche-Comté en maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Auxerre. De gemeente telde 434 inwoners op 1 januari 2023.[1]
Geschiedenis
Branches maakte tot 2015 deel uit van het kanton Auxerre-Nord. Toen het kanton op 22 maart 2015 werd opgeheven werden de gemeenten ervan opgenomen in het kanton Auxerre-2.[2]
Geografie
De oppervlakte van Branches bedraagt 10,99 vierkante kilometer. Op 1 januari 2023 was de bevolkingsdichtheid 39,5 inwoners per km².
Branches ligt aan de A6, de Autoroute du Soleil, van Parijs naar Lyon. Het vliegveld van Auxerre ligt op het grondgebied van de gemeente.
