Failly (Duits: Failen) is een gemeente in het Franse departement Moselle in de regio Grand Est en maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Metz. De gemeente telde 532 inwoners op 1 januari 2023.[2]
Geschiedenis
Op 1 januari 1974 werd de toenmalige gemeente Vrémy opgenomen in Failly.[1]:Histoire
Failly maakte tot 2015 deel uit van het arrondissement Metz-Campagne en kanton Vigy. Op 1 januari van dat jaar fuseerden de arrondissementen van Metz.[3] Toen het kanton op 22 maart 2015 werd opgeheven werden de gemeenten ervan opgenomen in het kanton Le Pays Messin.[4]
Geografie
De oppervlakte van Failly bedraagt 6,74 vierkante kilometer; Op 1 januari 2023 was de bevolkingsdichtheid 78,9 inwoners per km².
