Helmkroon

De helmkroon (in het Duits: Laubkrone, ook wel Adelskrone) is een heraldisch teken.

Het recht op het voeren van de helmkroon in het wapen werd in het Heilige Roomse Rijk lange tijd verleend aan de ongetitelde adel (Herr/Junker, Ritter, Edler) en gold in de Duitse heraldiek als onderscheidingsteken voor die ongetitelde adel. Later zijn ook welgestelde burgers de helmkroon gaan voeren waardoor hij zijn betekenis grotendeels verloor.

De helmkroon heeft meestal twee halve fleurons op de zijkant, een hele fleuron in het midden, ertussen met een parel en alles op gelijke afstand.[1]
