Foix-Rural is een voormalig kanton van het Franse departement Ariège. Het kanton maakte deel uit van het arrondissement Foix.
Kantonale herindeling
Het kanton werd opgeheven bij decreet van 18 februari 2014 met uitwerking op 22 maart 2015. De gemeenten werden hierbij opgenomen in vier op die dag gevormde kantons: Cos, Ferrières-sur-Ariège, Ganac, Montgailhard en Saint-Pierre-de-Rivière werden opgenomen in het kanton Foix. Celles, Montoulieu, Prayols en Saint-Paul-de-Jarrat werden opgenomen in het kanton Sabarthès. Freychenet en Soula werden opgenomen in het kanton Pays d'Olmes. De overige gemeenten werden opgenomen in het kanton Val d'Ariège.[1]
