Martin Faust (Poughkeepsie, 16 januari 1886 – Los Angeles, 19 juli 1943) was een Amerikaans acteur.
Biografie
Faust werd geboren op 16 januari 1886 in Poughkeepsie (New York) als zoon van Ida Hiller en Herman Faust.[1] Hij begon zijn carrière op 8-jarige leeftijd als kindacteur.[2] Later toerde hij met Richard Mansfield en acteerde hij bij de Proctor Stock Company.[3]
Tussen 1910 en 1944 speelde hij in meer dan 100 films. Aan de oostkust werkte hij voor Edison, Biograph, Thanhouser en Lubin. In 1914 regisseerde hij twee films voor de Whitman Features Company. In 1925 werd hij freelancer in Hollywood en speelde hij rollen tegenover acteurs als Tom Mix, Buck Jones en Lionel Barrymore. Zijn laatste filmoptredens waren karakterrollen in Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, This Is the Army en The North Star.
Faust was getrouwd met Hazel Haynie.[2] Hij overleed op 19 juli 1943 in Los Angeles op 57-jarige leeftijd na een slepende ziekte.[3]
