Microcoleaceae is een familie van blauwalgen (Cyanobacteria) uit de orde Oscillatoriales en de klasse Cyanophyceae. Er zijn 37 geslachten en in totaal 542 soorten beschreven. Het geslacht Lyngbya is met 215 soorten verreweg het meest soortenrijke geslacht.[2]
