Motion Picture Association

De Motion Picture Association is opgericht in 1945 om Amerikaanse films te promoten en te beschermen. Toen stond de MPA bekend als Motion Picture Export Association, maar die naam werd rond 1994 gewijzigd in Motion Picture Association. De MPA wordt vaak verward met de MPAA, maar alhoewel die onder hetzelfde management vallen hebben ze andere doelstellingen. Het hoofdkantoor van de MPA staat in Los Angeles.
