Myopa is een geslacht van blaaskopvliegen (Conopidae). De wetenschappelijke naam werd gepubliceerd in 1775 door Johann Christian Fabricius.[2]
De volwassen insecten voeden zich met nectar van vele soorten bloeiende planten. Hun larven zijn endoparasieten van wespen, bijen en hommels.
