Priestermuts
Een priestermuts, bisschops- of papenmuts ((fr) Bonnet de prêtre) is in letterlijke zin een vierkante hoed die door bisschoppen wordt gedragen. In het Nederlands wordt deze hoed een bonnet genoemd.
Botanie
Bij uitbreiding, en naar analogie, kan een priestermuts in de botanie (plantkunde) verwijzen naar:
- priestermuts (ook "bisschopsmuts", "vierkante hoed" of "vierkant hout"), de struik die '(Wilde) kardinaalsmuts' wordt genoemd (Europese kardinaalsmuts – Euonymus europaeus, uit de familie Celastraceae), die, wanneer verkoold, kardinaalsmuts oplevert
- priestermuts, de Barringtonia asiatica- boom (uit de Lecythidaceae -familie)
- priestermuts (ook "patissonpompoen", "Spaanse artisjok", "keizerspet" of "keizerlijke kroon"), variëteiten van pompoen, uit de Cucurbitaceae -familie
