Ruth Esther Pointer (Oakland, 19 maart 1946) is een Amerikaanse zangeres en het oudste lid van de familiegroep The Pointer Sisters. Pointer voegde zich in 1972 bij haar zussen om van de groep een kwartet te maken.
Pointer schreef memoires over de groep, "Still So Excited!: My Life as a Pointer Sister", die in 2016 werd gepubliceerd. Pointer is het laatst levende lid van de oorspronkelijke familie van zussen, maar ze blijft optreden als de groep The Pointer Sisters, samen met haar dochter Issa Pointer en haar kleindochter Sadako Pointer.
