SL16 FC is de beloftenploeg van Standard Luik die sinds 2022 uitkomt in de nationale reeksen van het Belgische voetbal.

Geschiedenis

Standard Luik had net als de andere profploegen al jarenlang een beloftenploeg die uitkwam in een aparte beloftencompetitie. In 2022 besloten de profploegen om deze te integreren in de bestaande nationale competitie om talenten sneller te laten kennis maken met profvoetbal. In 2022 startte Standard net zoals Genk, Anderlecht en Brugge met hun beloftenploegen in de Eerste klasse B. In hun eerste seizoen eindigde de club onder coach Joseph Laumann als elfde en in de degradatie play-offs werden ze vierde waardoor ze zich handhaafde in de tweede klasse.

In het seizoen 2023/24 werden ze laatste na het reguliere seizoen en degradeerde de club.[1] Ook het volgende seizoen in eerste nationale kende de club geen succes en werd opnieuw laatste in het reguliere seizoen. In de play-dows eindigde de club als voorlaatste en had moeten degraderen maar omdat RUS Binche geen licentie kreeg bleef de club in eerste nationale spelen. Ook in het seizoen 2025/26 eindigde de club als voorlaatste in het reguliere seizoen. In de Play-downs slaagde de ploeg erin om net zoals de beloftenploegen van Union Sint-Gillis en Sporting Charleroi om zich te handhaven.
