Sextortion
Sextortion is het afpersen van slachtoffers met online buitgemaakte naaktbeelden.[1] De term is afgeleid van sex (de Engelse spelling van seks, verwijst naar de seksuele inhoud) en extortion (Engels voor 'afpersing, chantage'). Sextortion is strafbaar in diverse landen, waaronder Nederland en België.
Bij sextortion worden van het slachtoffer verkregen beelden gebruikt om dat slachtoffer te chanteren, te misbruiken of aan te zetten tot geweldpleging of zelfverminking. Daders kunnen slachtoffers dwingen om onder dwang geld te betalen door te dreigen met het verspreiden van de beelden, ze kunnen dreigen om de slachtoffers, familie of vrienden fysiek te (gaan) mishandelen of ze dwingen het slachtoffer om online - en soms ook offline - ontuchtige handelingen uit te voeren.
