Simone Drexel (Sankt Gallen, 13 mei 1957) is een Zwitsers zangeres.

Biografie

Drexel won in 1973 op zestienjarige leeftijd een talentenjacht. Twee jaar later nam ze deel aan de Zwitserse preselectie voor het Eurovisiesongfestival. Met het nummer Mikado won ze de finale, waardoor ze Zwitserland mocht vertegenwoordigen op het Eurovisiesongfestival 1975, dat gehouden werd in Stockholm. Ze eindigde als zesde. Ondanks dit succes zou ze geen lange muzikale carrière uitbouwen. Enkele jaren later zou ze aan haar studies medisch assistente beginnen, waarna ze aan de slag ging in een laboratorium. Na de eeuwwisseling zou ze toch weer de muziekwereld opzoeken, en trad ze sporadisch weer op, onder andere met haar groep Bluesonix. Ze werd ook muzieklerares.
