Sluitkool

Tot de sluitkool worden een aantal typen kool gerekend, waarvan de bladen van het bladgewas zich dicht opeen over het groeipunt sluiten en zo de eigenlijke kool vormen.

Tot de sluitkool behoren de koolsoorten:

  • Rodekool (Brassica oleracea var. rubra)
  • Savooiekool (Brassica oleracea convar. capitata var. sabauda) groene en gele rassen
  • Spitskool: de witte gladbladige rassen behoren tot wittekool en de groene gebobbeldbladige tot savooiekool
  • Wittekool (Brassica oleracea convar. capitata var. alba)
