Softengine is een Finse rockgroep uit Seinäjoki.
Geschiedenis
De band werd in 2011 opgericht door enkele vrienden. Ze zochten zelf geld bijeen, dat in 2012 gebruikt werd om hun eerste cd te financieren. De echte doorbraak volgde echter pas in 2014: toen nam Softengine deel aan Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, de Finse preselectie voor het Eurovisiesongfestival. Met het nummer Something better wist de band de nationale finale te winnen, waardoor die Finland mocht vertegenwoordigen op het Eurovisiesongfestival 2014, dat plaatsvond in de Deense hoofdstad Kopenhagen. Het lied eindigde er op de 11de plaats.
In 2014 bracht Softengine het album We Created the World uit.
