De pruiklangoeren (Trachypithecus) is een geslacht van Zuidoost-Aziatische apen uit de onderfamilie van de slankapen (Colobinae), en de familie van de Cercopithecidae (Apen van de Oude Wereld). De borelingen hebben een oranje vacht die later donkerder wordt. Pruiklangoeren hebben kortere benen, springen vaker, lopen vaker op alle vier de ledematen en hebben een grotere maag dan echte langoeren.[1]
Bladeren vormen belangrijkste onderdeel van hun dieet, dat tot wel meer dan 80% uit bladeren kan bestaan[2][3][4]. Hun bladrijke dieet vullen ze aan met vruchten, zaden, knoppen, bloemen, scheuten, en soms ook paddestoelen.
Pruiklangoeren leven in Zuidoost Azië, waar ze voorkomen in noordoost India, Vietnam, zuid China, Maleisië, Borneo, Thailand, en Indonesië).[5]
