Uday Chopra (Bombay, 5 januari 1973) is een Indiaas acteur en filmproducent die voornamelijk in de Hindi-filmindustrie actief is.

Biografie

Chopra begon zijn carrière als regie assistent van zijn vader Yash Chopra. In 1994 produceerde Chopra Yeh Dillagi en maakte zijn acteerdebuut in Mohabbatein (2000). Hij speelde een van de hoofdrollen in de actiefilm Dhoom en in de vervolgen Dhoom 2 en Dhoom 3, die respectievelijk in 2006 en 2013 uitkwamen. Chopra had voornamelijk in films gespeeld die onder het productiehuis Yash Raj Films van zijn vader vielen. In 2011 ging hij naar Los Angeles om deel te nemen aan een productieworkshop aan de UCLA. In juli 2012 richtte Chopra zijn eigen bedrijf op, Yomics, dat strips maakt gebaseerd op Yash Raj Films. In 2014 produceerde Chopra twee films: Grace of Monaco en de Hollywood-film The Longest Week.
