Villing (Duits: Willingen in Lothringen) is een Franse gemeente in het departement Moselle in de regio Grand Est. De gemeente telde 511 inwoners op 1 januari 2023.[2]
Geschiedenis
Op 1 januari 1974 ging Villing op in de gemeente Merten in een fusion-association. Dit hield in dat Villing als commune associée nog enige mate van zelfstandigheid behield. Op 1 januari 1981 werd de fusie ongedaan gemaakt en werd Villing weer een zelfstandige gemeente.[1]:Histoire
De gemeente maakte tot 2015 deel uit van het arrondissement Boulay-Moselle, dat op 1 januari 2015 opging in het arrondissement Forbach-Boulay-Moselle.[3]
De gemeente was lid communauté de communes de la Houve,[4] die op 1 januari 2017 opging in de communauté de communes Houve - Pays Boulageois.[5]
Geografie
De oppervlakte van Villing bedraagt 4,93 vierkante kilometer. Op 1 januari 2023 was de bevolkingsdichtheid 103,7 inwoners per km².
