Volx is een gemeente in het Franse departement Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in de regio Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur en maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Forcalquier. De gemeente telde 3.243 inwoners op 1 januari 2023.[1]
Geschiedenis
De gemeente maakte tot 2015 deel uit van het kanton Manosque-Nord. Toen het kanton op 22 maart 2015 werd opgeheven werd Volx opgenomen in het kanton Manosque-2.
Geografie
De oppervlakte van Volx bedraagt 19,52 vierkante kilometer; Op 1 januari 2023 was de bevolkingsdichtheid 166,1 inwoners per km².
De gemeente ligt aan de oostelijke rand van de Luberon. In de gemeente mondt de Largue uit in de Durance.
