Zello

Zello was een Zweedse muziekgroep binnen de progressieve rock.

Band

Leider van de band was Pelle Saether (P.O. Saether). Deze verzamelde rond 1995 een aantal musici om zich heen om muziek te maken in de traditie van Kansas (met violist Robby Steinhardt) en UK (met violist Eddie Jobson). De viool speelde dan ook een belangrijke rol binnen Zello. Andere voorbeelden voor Zello waren volgens de band Jethro Tull, Kaipa en Yes. Na het debuutalbum werd het stil en er volgde onregelmatig nog twee muziekalbums. Na 2004 ging Zello ter ziele, Saether ging verder met Grand Design, dat in 2020 zes albums op haar naam heeft staan.

Thuisbasis van de band was Karlshamn. Ze werden eerst nog vertegenwoordigd door het platenlabel Ad Perpetuam Memoriam uit Borlänge.
