    • w elektronice – element nośny (rama/płyta montażowa) urządzenia elektronicznego, do którego mocuje się podzespoły; określenie bywa stosowane także do konstrukcji wsporczej urządzeń elektronicznych (bez obudowy zewnętrznej)[1][3]. W praktyce rolę chassis może pełnić także płytka drukowana (PCB), wykonywana m.in. na laminacie FR-4 lub na materiałach z rodziny CEM (np. CEM-2)[4][5].
    • w informatyce – obudowa komputera lub innego urządzenia, pełniąca funkcję elementu nośnego dla podzespołów.
