Frame Check Sequence

Frame Check Sequence (FCS) – pole służące do przechowywania sumy kontrolnej ramki, dodawane w protokołach komunikacyjnych w celu wykrywania potencjalnych błędów transmisji danych. Do obliczania FCS wykorzystywany jest cykliczny kod nadmiarowy (CRC).
