Ewolucja
Wymarłe gatunki odkryto w eoceńskim bursztynie bałtyckim (S. nixoni) oraz w angielskiej formacji Bouldnor z przełomu eocenu i oligocenu (S. wightensis)[1].
Zasięg występowania
Żyjący gatunek występuje w Południowej Afryce[1].
