Acrotaphus japi (лат.) — вид мелких перепончатокрылых наездников рода Acrotaphus из подсемейства Pimplinae (=Ephialtinae) семейства Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera). Южная Америка: Аргентина, Бразилия, Уругвай. Назван по месту обнаружения голотипа самки в бразильском Reserva Biológica da Serra do Japi (штат Сан-Пауло)[1][2].

Описание

Длина переднего крыла 13—18 мм. Этот вид можно отличить от всех других видов Acrotaphus по сочетанию следующих признаков: 1) край щек позади глаз сильно вогнут в дорсальном виде; 2) задние простые глазки отделены от фасеточных глаз на 0,1-0,2 диаметра в дорсальном виде; 3) тело полностью красновато-оранжевое; 4) задняя нога полностью красновато-оранжевая или красновато-оранжевая, с черноватыми бедром, голенью и лапкой; 5) яйцеклад прямой, в 1,2-1,55 раза длиннее задней голени. Биология почти неизвестна, предположительно как и близкие виды, паразитирует на пауках (выведен из яйцевых коконов Argiope argentata, род Argiope)[1].

Acrotaphus japi близко похож на вид A. amazonicus и A. fasciatus, но отличается полностью красновато-коричневой метасомой и более крупной щекой (у других двух видов метасома оранжевая с чёрными последними тергитами и меньшей щекой)[1].
