Assembly
Assembly (Ассамблея) — крупнейший в мире фестиваль разработчиков мультимедийных презентаций, ежегодно проходящий летом в Финляндии. Главными организаторами соревнования являются Пекка Аакко (Pekka Aakko, Pehu из демогруппы Accession) и Юсси Лаакконен (Jussi Laakkonen, Abyss из Future Crew[англ.]). Соревнование проходит каждый год между последними числами июля и первыми числами августа и длится три-четыре дня. В 2010 году Assembly проводился с 5 по 8 августа в Хартвалл Арене в Хельсинки.
История
Первая Ассамблея состоялась в июле 1992 года, в Кауниайнене. Она была организована Amiga-демогруппами Complex и Rebels и PC-демогруппой Future Crew. Штат сотрудников превратился в большую некоммерческую группу энтузиастов, известных как Организаторы Ассамблеи. За 1990-е годы Ассамблея разрослась настолько сильно, что даже огромные экспозиционные залы перестали вмещать всех желающих, из-за чего организаторам пришлось использовать спортивные арены. С 1999 года они арендуют самую большую арену в Финляндии — Хартвалл Арена в Хельсинки для того, чтобы вместить свыше 5000 участников со всего мира.
