Inachus (лат.) — род морских крабов из семейства Inachidae инфраотряда Eubrachyura (Majoidea, Heterotremata). Известно около 15 видов. Они обитают в прибрежной зоне, на шельфе и континентальном склоне на глубинах от 10 до 548 м в умеренной климатической зоне Северной Атлантики, тропической Атлантике и умеренной климатической зоне южной Африки[1].
Описание
Карапакс достигает в длину до 30 мм и вооружён мезогастральным и кардиальным шипами, а также парой боковых шипов. Рострум (центральный лобный отросток) состоит из двух тупых шипов или долей. Шип расположен между усиками. Надглазничный отросток имеет широкий, вдавленный выступ позади глазницы (посторбитальный). Глазные стебли короткие и прямые. Ходильные ноги в два раза длиннее карапакса; первая пара ходильных ног более массивная и в 1,5 раза длиннее последующих пар[1].
