Octopus laqueus (лат.) — вид головоногих из семейства обыкновенные осьминоги[1].

Присоски расположены в два ряда. Имеются анальные клапаны и чернильный мешок. У самцов третье щупальце — гектокотиль[2]. Небольшой тропический осьминог, обитающий у берегов острова Окинава (Япония) и в Индо-Тихоокеанском регионе. Осьминоги часто рассматриваются как одиночные животные, но в дикой природе O. laqueus живут в непосредственной близости друг от друга и могут регулярно встречаться, что повышает вероятность социальной терпимости. Исследования показали, что несколько особей могут уживаться в неволе в одном резервуаре и даже успешно размножаться. Ночные животные[3]. Octopus laqueus безвреден для человека, для оценки его охранного статуса недостаточно данных и он не является объектом промысла[4].
