Penthimiini (лат.) — триба полужесткокрылых насекомых из подсемейства цикадок Deltocephalinae (Cicadellidae).

Описание

Цикадки средних и крупных размеров, приземистые, коренастые, часто чёрные или коричневые, часто с уплощённой брюшной частью лица и/или всей брюшной стороной и выпуклой дорсальной стороной; простые глазки на темени, расположенные на расстоянии от глаз; выступающая часть усиков толстая; передняя голень уплощённая дорсально и двузубчатая; переднее крыло с большим придатком, простирающимся вокруг вершины крыла[2]. Формула макрощетинок вершины заднего бедра: 2+2+1[3].

Распространение и экология

Космополитная группа, слабо представленная в Северной Америке. Представители трибы Penthimiini встречаются на деревьях, кустарниках и травянистой растительности[3].

Классификация

Триба включает около 45 родов и около 200 видов, большая часть которых принадлежит к роду Penthimia (около 80 видов), а около 20 родов монотипические[4]. Триба была впервые выделена в 1869 году немецким энтомологом Carl Ludwig Kirschbaum (1812—1880)[1][3][5].
