ABAP është një gjuhë programimi përgatitur nga kompania SAP AG.
Historia
ABAP formohet nga inicialet e fjalëve gjermane Allgemeiner Prozessor Berichts Aufbereitungs, që do të thotë "Procesori i Përgjithshëm për Përgatitjen e Raporteve". Akronimi u pasua nga /4, e cila tregon se gjuha është gjenerata e katërt e 4GL programuese. Pastaj ne u zhvendos në emrin e tanishme në Anglisht Programim Aplikimi i avancuar Biznes.
Bazat fillestare të gjuhës u krijuan në vitin 1980 në mënyrë që të prodhojnë një aplikacion komercial duke përdorur teknikën e programimit të strukturuar. Semantika e gjuhës kryesisht ndjek atë të gjuhëve të tjera të tilla si COBOL dhe Fortran.
Ju lejon të ndërfaqe të bazave të të dhënave SQL relacionale të mëdha (RDBMS). Në një sistem klient-server, përmes një protokoll të pronarit, ajo ka një ekran grafike të ekraneve dhe epokën e internetit, ekspozimit në WEB.
Me zgjerimin e produkteve të aplikimit gjuha SAP ABAP gjuhës konsiderohet tani si një nga gjuhët kryesore të programimit të përdorura në botë.
