Android Eclair

Èclair ishte një hap i madh krahasuar me paraardhësit e tij. I prezantuar në 2009, Android 2.0 u vendos në fillim në Motorola Droid, duke sjellë përmirësime në shfletues, Google Maps dhe një nderfaqe grafike të re. Gjithashtu me Andriod 2.0 lindi dhe Google Maps Navigation i cili u ndërthur shumë mirë me sistemin GPS të navigimit. Android shumë shpejt i lëshoi vendin 2.1 i cili u vendos në Droid në dhjetor 2009. Ndërsa paisja e parë që mori Android 2.1 ishte Google Nexus One i cili u lancua në janar 2010 duke sjellë dhe grafika 3D. Kalimi nga kjo shkallë në një tjetër më të avancuar ishte e vështirë dhe me dhimbje për Android. HTC Desire dhe telefonat Legend u lancuan me Android 2.1 më vonë gjatë vitit.
