Automjeti
Një automjet[1] është një makinë që transporton njerëz ose mallra. Automjetet përfshijnë vagonët, biçikletat, mjetet motorike (motoçikleta, makina, kamionë, autobusë, skuterë lëvizës për personat me aftësi të kufizuara), mjetet me shina (trenat, tramvajet), mjetet ujore (anijet, varkat, mjetet nënujore), automjetet amfibe (automjetet me vida, hovercraft), avionë (aeroplanë, helikopterë, aerostatë) dhe anije kozmike.
Mjetet tokësore klasifikohen gjerësisht sipas asaj që përdoret për të aplikuar forcat e drejtimit dhe lëvizjes kundër tokës: me rrota, me binar, me shina ose me ski. ISO 3833-1977 është standardi, i përdorur gjithashtu ndërkombëtarisht në legjislacion, për llojet, termat dhe përkufizimet e mjeteve rrugore.
