C shell


C shell (csh) është një shell UNIX i shkruar nga Bill Joy në Universitetin Berkley të Californias. Qellimi i tij ishte që të krijonte një shell që të ishte i ngjashem me sintaksën e gjuhës C të programimit.

Cfarë është një shell ?

Një shell është një program që ofron një nderfaqe përdoruesi. Me një shell, perdoruesi mund të shkruaje komanda dhe ti ekzekutojë ato ne një sistem Unix. Praktikisht funksioni kryesor i një shelli është që të lexoje komantat nga perdoruesi, ti ekzekutoje në Sistemin Operativ dhe të ktheje përgjigjen e komandës.

Cfarë mund të bëj me një C shell ?

Perdorimi kryesor i C shell është si një shell interaktiv. Megjithate cdo kush mund të shkruaje një program në C Shell per ekzekutim të mevonshem. Të tille programe quhen scripte shell.
