Delja ose Delmja është kafshë shtëpiake e zbutur nga njeriu. Delja është lloj i dobishëm i kafshëve shtëpiake, sepse prej sajë merren prodhimet e çmueshme për ushqim të njeriut dhe veshmbathjen e tij. Mishi dhe qumështi janë produkte me rëndësi dhe me përmbajtje të lartë të lëndëve ushqyese për njeriun. Gjithashtu leshi, lëkura dhe gëzofi shfrytëzohen për veshmbathjen e njeriut. Leshi që prodhohet nga delet është prodhim kryesor i cili përdoret si lëndë e parë në industrinë e tekstilit.
Përmbledhje
Edhe në vendin tonë që në kohët e hershme delet janë mbajtur si kafshë shtëpiake. Në kohë të ndryshme delja ka luajtur një rol të rëndësishëm në jetën e fshatit. Nga delja merret qumështi me të cilin mund të bësh bulmete të tjera, gjithashtu merret dhe leshi. Edhe në ditët e sotme delja ka rëndësi në jetën e fshatit dhe ne blegtori. Blegtoria është një nga faktorët ekonomik në zhvillimin e ekonomisë shqipëtare. Në fshat njerëz të shumtë delet i kanë si burimin e tyre ekonomik. Delet rrinë zakonisht në zona fushore dhe kodrinore por mund të rrinë edhe në zona malore. Shumica e kultivuseve të deleve janë fshatrat e zonës jugore si : Vlora, Berati, Gjirokastra, Tepelena, Korça etj. Po ashtu delja mbarështohet edhe në Kosovë. I vogli i deles quhet qingj.
